Brunello di Montalcino considered the best wine in the world, has its ancestral roots in village of Montalcino in souther Tuscany and in the ancient winemaking tradition, handed down from one generation to the next.

The town of Montalcino, not far from Montepulciano, is a sanctuary of this magnificient wine produced from Sangiovese grapes. It is a picturesque medieval village on the top of a hill with views out over the rolling hills. We will visit the town, its century-old fortress, and the best wineries reviewed in specialised magazines.

We will explore Montalcino, the splendid Abbazia di Sant’Antimo (St. Antimo’s Abbey) famous for Gregorian chants and the beautiful surrounding area.

Along with a selection of other prestigious wines, you will also sample Brunello di Montalcino, known as the “Italian ambassador in the world of our winemaking”, currently the most appreciated Italian wine in the whole world.
