UFFIZI GALLERY GUIDED TOUR FLORENCE #16

The Uffizi gallery was built in 1581, under the request of Granduca Francisco de’ Medici, son of Cosimo I. The original design was that of Giorgio Vasari, one of the leading painters and architects during the 15th century. Today the Uffizi is one of the most popular tourist attractions of Florence.

In high season (particularly in July), waiting times can be up to five hours. Visitors who reserve a ticket in advance have a substantially shorter wait. The duration of the tour is about 2 hours (once the tour is over, visitors are free to visit the museum at their leasure); the price includes guide service, headphones for groups over 15 people, museum entrance ticket and prebooking fee.

The Galleria is an extraordinary collection of paintings that embraces an historical period from the 1200's until present, and from many European regions.
