Among the representative works of the great artist which will be exhibited, the 'Bacco degli Uffizi', David with the Head of Goliath' from the Galleria Borghese, the 'Musicians' from the Metropolitan and the 'Dinner of Emmaus' from the National Gallery of London.

The exhibition also includes works never seen before, like The Child and the 'Basket of Fruit' of the Pinacoteca Ambrosiana in Milan, which is the first time the painting has been allowed to leave its home.

Caravaggio was considered a revolutionary artist for his time, because of his natural portayal of his subjects and the earthy humanity he gives to them all, invoking them with intense sensuallity, highlighted by lighting effect (nothing short of genius) that dramatically emphasizes the images drawing them out of the darkness of the scene.

The exhibition presented is intended to draw more public attention and critique to the famous and celebrated “Lombard Genius”  who died in 1610 at the age of 37.
